Defy Aging: Discover the Secrets with Prof. Dr. Ikram Ullah Khan

Anti-Aging Secrets:

1. Micro Aging

We age every day, with collagen production decreasing by 1% every year from the age of 25. Start addressing aging before visible signs appear. Consider using quality products or recommended treatments to delay the onset of aging. Don’t wait for wrinkles to set in before seeking advice; think about micro-aging prevention.

2. Sunscreens

Using high-quality sunscreen is crucial. The sun is a significant contributor to aging, causing pigmentation, brown spots, and collagen reduction. Apply sunscreen with at least 30 SPF every 2 to 3 hours when outdoors, ensuring protection from harmful UV rays.

3. Laser Treatment

Skin has two layers: the visible top layer and the deeper layer containing collagen. Treatments for the top layer include lasers, peels, and skin polishing. Deeper-layer treatments involve lasers, radiofrequency, ultrasound devices, injectables like Botox and fillers. The timing for these treatments varies; there’s no universal age to start. Consult with a professional to determine what’s best for you.

Dos and Don’ts:

Dos:

  1. Remove Makeup: Always remove makeup before bedtime to prevent clogged pores and acne.
  2. Exercise Regularly: Aim for 4 to 5 exercise sessions per week, whether it’s Pilates, Zumba, or Yoga. Physical activity is essential for overall health and skin vitality.
  3. Eat Antioxidant-Rich Foods: Consume a diet rich in antioxidants. A morning veggie juice can provide essential antioxidants even if you’re not fond of fruits and vegetables.
  4. Manage Stress: Stress can accelerate aging. Find ways to reduce stress and enjoy life to age gracefully.

Don’ts:

  1. Smoke: Smoking ages your skin and clogs pores. Quitting smoking is a significant step towards healthier skin.
  2. Binge Drink: Limit excessive alcohol consumption. Stay hydrated by drinking water between alcoholic beverages to maintain skin health.
  3. Unrealistic Dieting: Avoid extreme diets that lead to rapid weight changes, as they can affect your facial appearance. Maintain a sensible and balanced diet.

Remember, aging isn’t just about appearance; it’s also about how you feel from within. These tips can help you maintain a youthful glow and overall well-being.
